(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).

UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

After the update on 3rd sept 2014 I have lost access to sky. On my tv I have free view and sky. When I wAnted to swap to sky I went down to the last channel on free view which was 816 and pressed my sky remote and my sky came. This channel no longer exists after the update. I have tried everything possible on the remote for my tv but cannot work out at all where I can get to my sky channels. Can anyone help? Feeling very frustrated!!

William Hill: As I suspected the actually extra channels I received on 3rd Sept were weak signals from the Durris transmitter not the Eyemouth transmitter and they were not stable, so I had to do a rescan and went back to about 52 channels, several which simply state that the have been moved to a new channel i.e. ch80 to ch 130 BBC News. So, it's back to a restricted selection of channels for me.

William Hill: Or you could have an aerial pointing to Durris. Unfortunately the frequencies used at Eyemouth are interleaved with those at Durris, so it is not possible to use a simple diplexer to combine two aerials, however having a second Freeview box (or a TV in another room) set on Durris would give you the option of a full service

Hi, live in Miltonn Keynes, (MK13) last night all free view TVs went to no signal in house (have only sky in lounge) Last year had an out side arial fitted and one in loft . Have tried to retune, but the no signal sign keeps coming up, not sure what to do.

liz: You should tuned to Sandy Heath, with a decent signal. If all your TV's are saying 'no signal', thats exactly what it means - there is no signal coming from your aerial/s, probably caused by a break, etc.

If you were using one aerial with a powered splitter/amp, then the power supply failing would have the same effect. However, its a bit odd to have an outside and loft aerial fail at exactly the same time. I'm wondering if they are connected in some way (why?), and a failed connection or dud power supply etc has caused the whole thing to fail. have a look in the loft, and see how its all connected. If you can't, you'll need to call someone out.

I am a TV engineer/Aerial Installer and in the past few days ,after the 3rd September retune I have had reports of a particular problem affecting BBC channels. For example selecting BBC1, after a few seconds picture starts to freeze and cannot change channel or switch to standby, have to unplug and plug back in again. This fault appears to affect mainly older TV's and also Labgear freeview boxes. Something is obviously affecting the software of these receivers. Will Winter Hill accept there is a problem, and will they be able to resolve it?

Stuart: See my comments about this problem to Isla - My ITV/C4 Freeview channels have disappeared - what can I do? Is it my SCART ca | Help! Freeview and aerials | ukfree.tv - 12 years of independent, free digital TV advice I've had this problem for a couple of weeks, and its interesting that its not just Goodmans/Bush boxes that have been hit. Wondering if they all have the same software?
