By providing a full postcode (such as W1A 1AA), national grid reference (for example SE123456) or latitude, longitude pair (like 54, -0.5) this page will provide a map, terrain plot and detailed information of the location showing the UK and RoI television transmitters that it is possible you receive Freeview, Freeview HD, Youview, BT TV and Saorview from.
(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).
UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

John B,
I have had the same problem with my Goodmans box, for a long time now, unplugging the mains seems to work OK but it does happen again, I suspect there is something slightly faulty with the box. I just keep on wit the same procedure and will await a compete failure and then replace. On one occasion it failed completely and I lost a lot of recordings but now it seems to work better and I can get more recordings on the drive, but I went through a complete reset and also uploaded the software again and it does seem to work better.

I just retuned my Freeview HD Sony TV and got a whole host of new channels from the Eyemouth transmitter, I had thought that this was just a technical issue to re-allocate channel numbers. Now I have to click through about 80 channels to find the one I want, but it's an improvement on the 13 or so channels I was getting before. Happy viewing.

Since yesterdays freeview re-tune we can no longer watch TV. All our channels are broken up, scrambled and suffering from a weak signal. Why is this happening? To whom do we complain? It was fine for years, now is unwatchable!

Analogue TV was Perfect, the Digitised Freeview Junk is nothing less than a Shambles. We pay a TV Licence and the BBC is Dumped on a said New Frequency....Still trying to Find, Goodmans willnot Boot-up, . Freeview is the biggest mistake since TVs were invented, piles of flipping rubbish, so "Thank's for Nothing".

John Cheall: We have the same problems as John. We followed all instructions for retune on our Humax recorder and now have very poor signal quality , which has also affected our new TV. Never had this problem before today. What is happening and like John to whom do we complain?

bill dennison: PAL Analogue TV was good but not perfect. The worst aspect of digital signals is the 'cliff' effect. You either get it your you don't.. Since analogue switch-off most problems people have seem to be due to overlap of areas now the power of the MUXes has risen. After a re-tune, some receivers ask if you are GBR which you accept if no alternative is given, then asks ENGLAND which again you accept if no alternative and then a REGION which may give you several alternatives if you can receive weak signals from an adjacent area. Choose wisely and if you never had problems before you should be fine. If this dialogue doesn't happen you will have to search manually your most local channels. My old Humax standard definition PVR doesn't give the dialogue but my HD PVR and Toshiba TV do. Hope this helps.

Kenneth McCarthy: Sky news (132) is on the same COM5 multiplex as Pick TV (11), if you are able to view the latter? then rather than carrying out a normal retune you will first of all have to carry out a "manufacturers reset" on the TV, this also being known as "default setting" / "First time installation" or some similar sounding name.
If though on the other hand you cannot receive Pick TV, then this means that your TV has not picked up Mux C45 Preseli's COM5 transmitter.

John Cheall: If reception was good before the re-tune then it should still be so as there was no change made to the East and West Midlands transmitters, just slight changes to the content of some muxes and the numbering in the channel list. It is likely that you could have found signals from different transmitters to the one that your aerial points to. You are predicted to receive East Mids from both Waltham and Kimberley and West Mids from Sutton Coldfield, so there is plenty of scope for one or more muxes to be wrongly tuned in. If your receiver has the option of manual tuning, this would be the best solution to the problem, after first clearing the channel list of all data. For Waltham the correct frequencies are C49, C54, C58(HD), C29, C56, C57, C31(HD) and C26 (local). For Kimberley - C27, C24, C21(HD), C51, C52, C48, and C50 (local). Sutton Coldfield uses C43, C46, C40(HD), C42, C45, C39 and C33(HD).
