My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Back on in HP3 now. This is getting frustrating after a number of days of instability.

I Have Freeview TV, but have been unable to get any BBC channels since Saturday. Screen just says no signal . Would appreciate any advice. I believe I am serviced by the Subury Mast. but not sure. I am in Hadleigh Suffolk. Many thanks. B Bayford.

Mrs Brayford:
It has been suggested that the recent warm days have given rise to atmospheric conditions that can disrupt TV reception. As there are many similar reports from around the southern part of the UK, that would seem to be quite likely. Do NOT retune your TV set under such situation.

I live in Nottingham and use the Waltham Transmitter. Reception keeps dropping out Ch56 754Mhz Waltham Transmitter. All other channels are full signal and no problems. This happens a lot lately but not all the time and I wonder if anyone else is having problems or if indeed there is a problem with that one Chanel.

I live in mk3 have had missing channels since 31/10/15. Bbc is ok but all other channels are braking up , no sound and pixelating , when are you going to fix it. I've retuned all the TVs and lost channels because there is no signal.

Top work. Thanks. We had "No signal" message. Tried resetting channels several times. Finally found this page, did the turn off, clear and re-reset routine, and got all our channels back again. Thanks very much.

Same problem here in MK17 8. Since early Nov' 2015 I have lost Dave, 4music and +1 channels. No amount of re tuning seems to help. Is this because of the Freeview play thing? do I need to buy a box now in order to receive programs that I have been watching happily for 5 years?

Paul: MikeP and others have posted about possible temp inversions, etc, which have messed up a lot of peoples reception. Its doesn't happen very often, but its is very warm for the time of year, so its just one of those things. By Friday its going to get a lot colder, and hopefully things will be back to normal by then.
Freeview Play is online, and has nothing at all to do with TV reception.
