Steve:

Heathfield does not as yet transmit COM7, hence the lack of it in the area. I suggest you ask Arqiva, who are responsible for the transmitters, when or if Heathfield is likely to get COM7.

steve: Vintage TV was previously a streamed channel using your internet connection. That service closed when the broadcaster decided to launch recently as a regular channel on the COM7 multiplex, which along with COM8 is a temporary service due to close in mid 2020 and will not be added to any transmitters beyond the 30 which already broadcast COM7 & COM8.

kathy: One reason could possibly be that you are not within the coverage area of a COM7 (HD) transmitter, as not all main stations have these additional transmitters.

Unable to check if your location is outwith the coverage area or not as no location has been given, a post code or one from somewhere nearby being suffice.

Of course that said is on the assumption that your Goodmans Freeview plus box is capable of HD reception? as many aren't, an easy way to check being to ascertain if you can view 101, the BBC HD service.

Ela: Vintage TV is now on channel 82 (previously 86). Channel 242 was the streamed version which has been closed since Vintage switched to broadcasting over the air on the COM7 multiplex.
