Having enjoyed watching tin HD I am now unable, since the retune to watch BBC4 HD anymore . I have done a full retune both auto and manual but without success. I was told by the Freeview team that a new aerial would possibly solve the problem so I purchased a High Gain Labgear and had it installed to no avail. My signal strength on BBc1 and BBc2 is showing 94/95 % and a quality of 100% so I fail to see why the BBC4 and the other new channels I am unable to access. I assume you will be able to help me to overcome the problem.

These changes are solely to allow your Government to make money selling off spectrum to mobile telcos. All costs for returning , new antennas and new TVs set are down to the viewer.

Tim: No one needs to buy a new TV or set top box as a result of the current frequency changes. There is a government funded scheme to install free replacement wideband aerials for viewers who do not have satellite or cable, so the viewers are not having to bare the costs.

Hi - my local transmitter is Sutton Coldfield. BBC four HD is no longer received by my Tv server (PC used as a PVR) which uses a TBS6284 pci card for digital terrestrial reception. However my LG TV is receiving BBC four HD and is connected to the same loft antenna.
Do I need a new pci card for my server? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Many thanks

BBC 4 HD, (Channel 106 Freeview) has disappeared from the Rowridge transmitter. I don't often watch live but just sat down to watch at 0930 and it said No Signal. A retune caused 106 to disappear. All other channels are operating normally.. I am ina very good reception area.

John: Have you scanned the new frequencies for com7 and 8 from Sutton Coldfield?

The TBS6284 seems to have two dual tuners. How are you feeding them?

Are you using a passive splitter?

js: Hi yes - scanned a couple of times. The channels are showing on the channel list and the EPG is showing programmes so data is getting through, but the channel won't play (nor Channel 4+1 HD and 4 seven HD)
The tuners are daisy chained with small patch lead supplied with tuner card:

Antenna > into Tuner1 > into Tuner 2 > into TV.

The TV at the end of the chain is playing the channel happily so it can't be the antenna causing the problem and the 6284 has worked brilliantly for years without any problems until this recent change.

Thanks for your help

John
