Totally agree. Having spent much of my working life with my head inside of televisions, I now have to wear two hearing aids - but the noisy sound tracks of some progreammes makes it impossible for me, and I'm sure others, to hear what is being said through all the unwanted noise.

That is well known. It is due to the owner being unavailable at present. Only he can make the needed changes.

There was no known problem with the transmitter, else thiousands would have had the same problem. Please check all your aerial cables and connections. If there are coaxial plugs/sockets please unplug those and refit them to clear any corrosion/oxidation from the contacts.

Firstly please follow the advice given in the text above the entry box and provide a full post code. Only then can we examine what the predicted reception is likely to be at your location. Further, please check all your aerial cables and connections. If there are coaxial plugs/sockets, please unplug and then refit. That will clear any corrosion/oxidation which is a common cause of problems such as you report.

High pressure often causes this type of signal loss and there is nothing anyone can do about the perfectly natural phenomenon. All you can do is check that all the aerial connections are in good condition, even unplugging any coaxial plugs/sockets and then refitting them. DO NOT RETUNE.
