Tommy Abdy Collins: Resetting will not fix a signal issue. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted reception etc.

We are having problems after the freeview retune back in May 2018, we are on the Oxford transmitter in East Swindon, and the problem seems to be on com4 SDN (Drama, 5USA etc)
do you think that AT800 would be able to call out after a previous call-out did not improve things? (700MHz filter fitted).

Ian Hendry: COM4 is now on UHF channel 29 which is the lowest frequency currently used at Oxford. It's likely that you're using an older grouped aerial which is not designed to pick up the lower part of the UHF band. If you already have an 800MHz filter then AT800 won't be able to help (in any case 800MHz interference wouldn't affect lower frequencies anyway). If you don't have satellite or cable you should be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge, which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) although you may be too late at the frequency changes at Oxford took place more than 3 months ago.

Yes, I think the aerial has already been changed to a wideband.
I was wondering what they mean by a group 'K' aerial, what do they mean by this?
Wouldn't a group 'A/B' be better?

Ian Hendry: Group K covers the whole range of frequencies that will be used for Freeview following the completion of the 700MHz clearance. Group A and Group B are separate aerial groups with a small overlap between the top of Group A and the bottom of Group B. An aerial that covers both Groups A & B would effectively be a Group K.

Does anyone know what caused total loss of ALL channels on Oxford transmitter this morning breakfast time?
Came back after about an hour or so. I thought it was my aerial installation at first or the pre-amp but thankfully I can get just one programme from the Mendip transmitter so I knew the problem must be related to the Oxford site.
Never seen a transmitter site go off on all its 120+ programmes before.

There was no known problem with the transmitter, else thiousands would have had the same problem. Please check all your aerial cables and connections. If there are coaxial plugs/sockets please unplug those and refit them to clear any corrosion/oxidation from the contacts.
