Simon George: COM8 hasn't changed frequency at Oxford yet (it moves on 23rd May). Digital UK are reporting the same power levels for COM7&8 so they don't appear to have been reduced. Giving that they are the lowest powered muxes broadcast from Oxford (excluding the local mux) it would suggest that you are starting to see signs of a problem with your aerial system which may require attention at some point.

Barry Sharples: COM7 & COM8 haven't disappeared from Ridge Hill, they moved frequency on 1st March and are now on UHF channels 55 & 56 so you will need to retune.

Channel 4 abandons Freesat HD in TWO DAYS
Saturday 17 March 2018 5:11PM

Eric Brett: 22nd February is when Channel 4 HD & All4 were removed from Freesat. C4 HD is still broadcasting free to air on satellite so will still be received on your non-Freesat Openbox receive and All4 has not been removed from any other platform and will still be present on your NowTV box.

Barry Sharples: If the BBC switch off their SD channels and go HD only it would free up enough capacity for all of the BBC channels to broadcast in HD using the BBC's own capacity on the PSB1 & PSB3 multiplexes which are broadcast from every transmitter. If all muxes were converted to DVB-T2 there would be sufficient capacity for all the channels currently on COM7 & COM8 to move to other multiplexes (although whether all of the broadcasters could afford the additional costs of having their channels on a mux with higher coverage is another question). Unfortunately there has been no announcement by any broadcasters, multiplex operators or the government/Ofcom to indicate when any of this will happen.

ITV 3
Sunday 18 March 2018 2:37PM

Chris Bodum: The assumption is the ITV3 on LCN 10 will eventually switch over the the version on the PSB2 multiplex (currently found on LCN 788 and available from every transmitter). It's extremely unusual for a channel to be duplicated like this on Freeview and is rather wasteful, given that the capacity currently being used for the version of ITV3 on COM4 could be used for another channel.

John Tupper: There is no fault showing for the transmitter, so start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV. Are you missing any other channels such as ITV or Channel 4? Do not attempt to retune.

Mark: COM7 & COM8 are not closing at the end of March. According to Digital UK they move to new frequencies (UHF channels 55 & 56) at Crystal Palace on 21st March. The local mux also moves to UHF channel 35 on the same date.
