Graham Whitehouse: You're only 1km from the transmitter so it's possible that the high signal strength may be overloading the tuner. Search for the article "Too much of a good thing" on this website.

Carrie Nourse: No one from this independent website is going to come and check out your aerial. You need to contact whoever is responsible for maintenance and get them to send someone to check the building's communal aerial system and make any necessary adjustments.

IanH: Chances are you're using a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive higher frequencies such as UHF channel 56. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible for a free replacement wideband aerial which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

Gerry: Have you retuned since the frequency changes took place at Reigate on 21st March?

Jo & Iain: Retuning is never a good idea when you have a weak signal as all you are doing is deleting the channels which were already correctly tuned and searching for them again. As there are no transmitter faults showing for Oxford, the most likely cause is something in your aerial system. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, then work your way along the cable as far as you can safely access towards the aerial.

Jessica jackson : The East Grinstead transmitter changed frequencies on 21st March, have you retuned since then? If that doesn't restore your channels you'll need to get in touch with whoever is responsible for maintenance as the communal aerial system may need adjusting.

Fiona Stanley: There have been no changes at either the Idle or Emley Moor transmitters. I would suggest you get the engineer back and get them to do their job properly.

Greg Stewart: It's in the FAQ section on that page - call the Freeview Advice Line on the number given at the top of that page and they can arrange a free replacement wideband aerial where required.

Chris: Channel 4 are refusing to pay the fees charged by Freesat for Channel 4 HD to be listed on the Freesat EPG. You may be able to tune the channel in manually on some receivers.

Paul Thompson & Chris Jackson: You are both most likely using grouped aerials which are no longer suitable for receiving all of the frequencies used since the recent changes. If you don't have satellite or cable you should be eligible for a free replacement wideband aerial which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).
