JULIAN HICKS: The output power from the transmitter is at a constant level, it does not vary. You need to check for problems with your aerial system, start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV and work your way back towards the aerial as far as you can safely access.

BBC Four HD
Wednesday 2 May 2018 10:32AM

Roger: 98% signal strength is too high, the tuner is being deafened because it is being shouted at. Take a look at the article title "Too much of a good thing" on this website and try an attenuator.

Keith Lindop: Glasgow West transmitter has never broadcast BBC Four HD. The only transmitter broadcasting BBC Four HD which covers Glasgow is Black Hill. If you cannot restore BBC Four HD by manual tuning on UHF channel 35 then you should contact whoever is responsible for managing your communal aerial system and ask them to investigate.

S Evans: You will be required to return the SkyQ box when your subscription ends, otherwise Sky will charge you for its replacement cost. As MikeP mentioned, you will need to get the LNB on your dish changed for a standard one in order to use a Freesat box (the wideband LNB fitted for SkyQ is not currently compatible with any other receivers).

James: I can't find anything to say that Winter Hill is currently operating on reduced power, only a warning of possible weak signal (meaning that power levels may be reduced for a few hours whilst engineering work takes place, it certainly doesn't mean that the transmitter is operating at reduced power all the time). Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

Horse and Country TV

Claire Foster: I don't know what you've subscribed to, but if it is something to do with Horse and Country TV or their website you should contact the broadcaster directly as this isn't their website.

Chris: Pick, Dave and Challenge are on COM5 not COM4, so could you clarify which mux you have lost? Were you previously receiving COM4/5/6 before the recent retune? COM4/5/6 were only recently added to Seagry Court so if you were receiving them prior to the recent retune you must have been getting them from another transmitter (probably Mendip going by the postcode you've provided). Which direction does your aerial point? Seagry Court is approximately east, whereas Mendip is roughly South West from your location.
