Simon Cole: COM7 moved to UHF channel 55 at Rowridge this morning, which could account for the loss of some HD channels at your friend's house if they haven't yet retuned.

Simon Cole: No channels have been removed from Rowridge. If you cannot restore the missing COM7 & COM8 channels by retuning then you most likely have a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive the new frequencies these muxes have moved to. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge, which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

anthony fawley: COM7 & COM8 changed frequency at Crystal Palace several weeks ago and more recently at Hannington. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge, which can be arranged by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

Channel 4 abandons Freesat HD in TWO DAYS
Thursday 3 May 2018 11:30AM

Paul Bale: The removal of Channel 4 HD from Freesat is entirely for commercial reasons. It is still broadcast free to air on satellite and can be tuned in manually on most receivers. Film 4 HD, More 4 HD & E4 HD are pay channels which only exist because they receive subscription income from Sky, which is again a commercial decision by the broadcaster who presumably do not think they would make sufficient profits by broadcasting these channels free to air and loosing the subscription income from Sky. You are also only receiving an overspill signal as none of the UK broadcasters have ever intended to broadcast to the south of France.

Philip Morris : There was a major reorganisation of channel numbers on the Sky EPG earlier this week, resulting in many channels moving to new numbers. Horse & Country TV is now on 184 according to Sky's online TV guide.

Daisy: Which transmitter are you receiving? Various transmitters have undergone frequency changes recently, see my reply to anthony fawley above yours.

AC: COM7 & COM8 have only ever been broadcast with horizontal polarity from Rowridge, they were never vertical.
