mr hosking: There is no possibility of COM7 & COM8 being added to Redruth. They have already been removed from Beacon Hill, Caradon Hill and Caldbeck transmitters during frequency changes for the 700MHz clearance and will be closing completely in the next couple of years or so.

mr hosking: FreeSports is broadcast on COM8, there is no chance of it being available anywhere in Cornwall unless the channel moved to another multiplex with wider coverage (at a much higher cost to the broadcaster). Whatever is showing on your aunt's TV isn't FreeSports, as there is no coming soon message for a channel which has already been broadcasting for a couple of years.

JB: Is this a new build property? Your postcode isn't returning a result on the Digital UK checker. If the aerial is vertical and pointing towards Shropshire, it's probably pointed at the Wrekin. Can you find another postcode for a shop/pub/school or other business/public building nearby?

JB: Kidderminster and Brierley Hill are both vertical and predicted to provide some coverage at your location, it could be pointed at one of those?

John King: Some of the +1 channels are only broadcast part time for a few hours overnight on Freeview (in order to reserve their channel number). Therefore, these channels only have listings for the hours that they are broadcasting.

Richard Bradley: Storeton does broadcast ITV Granada, but we need a full postcode so see if it is predicted to give good reception at your location.

Jon Douglas: According to Digital UK, Pontop Pike has frequency changes on 12th September (PSB1 moving) and 13th November for the rest. The local mux moves to UHF channel 33 on 13th November.

ray bridgen: If it's happening at the same time every day then you may well be suffering with electrical interference caused by something in your home (or nearby) operating on a timer.

Steve Williams: How long has this been happening? What happens if you power the Sky box off at the mains for 5-10 minutes, then turn it back on again?

Simon S: Either the stations you're listening to aren't broadcast from Membury (it only broadcasts the BBC National, Swindon and Berkshire local muxes, it doesn't broadcast D1 National or SDL National), or being so close to the transmitter is overloading your radio's tuner. I've always found that D1 stations drop out when driving past Membury, but I've always put it down to D1 signal being weak along that stretch of the M4.
