when I moved from HU13 to HU10 I seem to have lost ITV 4. Is there any reason for this. I have re-tuned my LG LED tv a few times but still no ITV4. I do however gat a black screen for ITV 4 + 1. Any suggestions please? Mike

mike: Yes but it would appear that you will only be able to receive from the Conwy relay transmitter which means you will only have the PSB channels. For that reason you might prefer to consider Freesat.

mike:
To get Freeview, you have to use an aerial.
You main TV presumably has a Sky box connected to it, that then being connected to the dish - or perhaps your TV has a 'built in' satellite receiver that has been set for Sky with a Sky Viewing Card.
As I understand it, Google Chromecast allows your laptop/PC/Smartphone to send video and audio to a TV with the Chromecast 'dongle' fitted, see
Chromecast
It then allows you to view whatever is available either from saved programmes on your computer or else to view streamed content downloaded via the internet.
Freeview is not available on the internet! Where you live, it is only available via an aerial set to receive from the Conway Freeview Lite transmitter not far from your home. Note that this is a 'lite' transmitter and so does not provide all the services that would be available from a full service transmitter.

Mike: Perhaps the aerial is a group a one which could do with replacing with a wideband.
Check the signal strength on BBC One, ITV and ITV3. Then compare with Pick. If Pick is markedly lower then maybe it's a group A aerial.

Mike: No obvious reasons are seen for this problem, as your move only amounted to around two miles or so further away from the Belmont transmitter but still on the same bearing of 157 degrees from same.
ITV4 is on COM6 Mux Ch60 and with ITV4+1 being on COM4 Ch30, and so its a question of whether or not you can view (18) 4Music which is also on COM6 or (10) ITV3 which is on COM4, and if you can then you should try carrying out a retune with the aerial connection removed for the purpose of wiping out everything already stored, then on completion reconnect the aerial followed by carrying out a further retune to re-load the programmes into the tuner.
By the way, a somewhat superior method to the above is to carry out a "first time installation" procedure, this also known as a "factory reset" or "default setting".
However, if you cannot receive the two programmes mentioned then are you on a communal aerial system? or do you have your own aerial? if on the former I would check with others to find out if they are also experiencing similar problems.

We are planning our first trip away soon in our touring caravan and we would like to take our small tv with us. We do not have any aerial yet but i am enquiring if we purchased a small indoor portable aerial would it be sufficient. With everything we have had to purchase we are trying to keep costs down so if an indoor aerial would suffice that would be great!! We would be staying about 15 miles from Belmont transmitter in lincs.
