Yvette: If, as appearances would suggest, you are connected into a communal system?, then you should check with others who reside in adjoining flats to ascertain if they are also suffering from similar problems with , and if they are? contact the landlords agents, as they are entirely responsible for rectifying the problem.

eric swan: You'd have to read your manual, but my old Goodmans box (they are made by the same company) used to do this, and we simply pushed one of the up/down/side buttons or OK and they disappeared.

I have plus + box connected to a TV upstairs that has built in free view when I connect the into the TV the sky becomes grainy, I have tried changing the rf on the sky box but I don't know which channel would be best?

Dave: Aerials in your area are seen to be pointing in a number of directions, therefore it would have been of assistance to know which you are receiving from, however as or would appear to be the favourites you should try setting the RF modulators to 38.

That said, it should also be noted that if you are using an ? then this will (or is liable) to add grain to an picture no matter what the modulator is set to, especially so if the amp in question is a of the high variety.

Another possible source of trouble being if there are any 4G transmitters operating in the area, in that case, the addition of a 4G filter in line with the boxes RF input would most likely cure the problem, although 4G filters should really be fitted between the aerial and the amplifier.

MikeP: Yes, fully agree, as that could well be the case, although that said was based on that seen on a google earth rooftop check of the area, and where most of the aerials (with the exception of one) are seen to be pointing in an Easterly direction, the angles of suggesting that (@ 29 miles/136 degrees) is the preferred , albeit that a line-of-sight obstruction to the path from said station is seen at approximately just under 4 miles from Dave's location.

However, the advice given with regards to the best RF to use is really irrespective of where Dave receives his signal from, at least from within the 4 possible sources, as RF38 does not clash with any of them.

Not quite , but I have a query about . Now that the channels have been re-distributed to different satellites, there are four ITV HD channels on the same / polarity. The frequency is 11097, polarity V and each is labelled 'ITV HD'. Is it possible to determine whether the channel is , or (for example) without waiting for something like local news?
