MikeB: No duplication of reply intended, as I composed a reply before taking a phone call and then clicked "send" before checking.

Pete: Your only 8km from Bluebell Hill (which seemingly is not your best transmitter according to Digital Uk...) - so check your signal strength - if its 100% or close then its probably too high.

MikeB: I have done all the reset and retune through the menu on the tv also taken plug and aerial out in case build up of static. I did not have any problem before I up dated it. Can I use the same aerial if I point it towards Essex which says is the better choice. The aerial is on the roof, I was wondering if 4g has got anything to do with this problem

Pete : I think your going to need the reception gurus on this one - your reception looks patchy for a main transmitter, but not bad for a light one, such as Rouncefall or Burnham.

Could you look to see your signal strength/quality, and which channel your TV is on (say 23, 44, etc). And which way your aerial is facing.

Pete : It sounds like Bluebell Hill, and if your strength is ten, then it could be that your signal is too strong - see here: Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you | Digital switchover | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice

Suddenly our aerial signal simply disappeared around 21:30 last night (21st October) We are in BH1 (Bournemouth) and I believe our main transmitter is on Isle Of Wight.

We can receive no channels whatsoever and signal strength is reported as 0%

Checked all cabling/connections etc. To no avail. Does anyone have any information or advice?
