My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Dave Hunter,Derby.It is most unlikely that 4G interference is affecting Waltham's SDN multiplex on frequency 29.

Dave Hunter:
Have you checked that the SDN mux you are trying to watch is actually the Waltham one on C29?

I don't know as this Bush box does not allow manual tuning. and I have a choice of Yorks and Lincs or East Midlands when tuning

Have a new Sharp TV and an indoor aerial with 42db gain(?). Used initial set up procedure and received all BBC channels (TV & Radio) but no ITV. Tried rescanning but with same result. What next?

Michael WS: Its really impossible to be able to advise on this without knowledge of your location (pref: post code or one from very nearby) as your indoor aerials built in amplifier may well claim 42db but that doesnt help unless the aerial is positioned where a signal exists, as "if" you are in the Crystal Palace area then the BBC is massively high powered compared to the ITV transmitter.
Further advice on knowledge of location.

Dave Hunter: If carrying out a signal strength check whilst on ITV3 isnt the mux channel associated with the signal level shown?

Had a closer look and after 4 re-tunings and choosing East Midlands it always has East Yorks as the transmitter. Looking at my aerial orientation I am in line with Waltham. To get East Yorks I would have to turn the aerial to North East instead of the roughly easterly direction it has.

Dave Hunter: Have you had your C/D aerial replaced with a wideband one? SDN is the only out of Group C/D channel from Waltham.

Dave Hunter: If your box offers you a regional selection option and you have chosen East Midlands and yet it stores Belmont then that's a problem with the box, as it doesn't matter where your aerial is facing it should not store channels that do not carry data associated with East Midlands, even if only a few are being picked up from Waltham.

Mark Wheeler:
I assume you got all channels with no problem before April 4th. Do you live in flats?
Also tell us about your aerial installation, age etc, have you got an amplifier etc.?
Can you tell us how old your Samsung set is?
