alan: According to info I have seen you cant, as its automatic on boxes such as you have and so you will have to wait until it appears (hopefully) on the EPG later on in the week (8th) when it officially starts.

Just where is channel 5* +1?
I can't seem to find a correct broadcast channel anywhere, for Freeview or Freesat.
This bobbing around to different channels does get irritating.

If you mean its LCN number, as mentioned at the top of this page, 5STAR+1 is on the COM8 HD Multiplex and it at LCN 56 in the Freeview listings where it's been for some while - see Digital UK | Channel listings for up-to-date Freeview listings.
To check predicted reception at your location put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker which will also advise of any future retune events or possible reception changes.
If you mean the UHF channel number for the multiplex, there has been no change affecting your location since Feb.2018 and that was part of the 700Mhz clearance - see Digital UK | 700MHz clearance
If you wish to keep up with other Freeview changes and information, a good page to watch is Freeview Service Status | Freeview

5 Star +1 has dreadful reception - below 20/100 and red (Sony)
But 5 Star (not +1) is 100 and green.
How can this be ?
I'm East South East of the Crystal Palace transmitter.
