I have a brand new Goodmans GDR11 setop box. Is there possibly a problem with these boxes? I rescanned many times and only get few channels. Channel 11 Pick tv and channel 12 yesterday are ALWAYS MISSING. A few times in the past I got these channels but invariably after some time the tv screen shows no signal and no matter what I do I cant get these channels back. I live in the LU3 1BE area. Is there a special problem here or is the box no good? I feel desperate because I dont know where to turn now!!! Can anybody help?

Help here too please. We live near the Dover transmitter, since retuning our Set top box on 27th June we also cant watch Film 4 on Channel 15 as the signal is not full strength and keeps cutting out. One or two shopping channels are also affected. All other channels are ok and full strength. Is there something defective on channel 15 and will it be fixed soon?

I suspect the cause of your predicament could be The Inversion Effect which i would look up under the link underlined as such !

Terri. We cannot help you i you dont want us to assist you as such,as you did not leave a full postcode preferably or a nearby location as such.
All i can say unless you provide a full postcode is to manually scan the ArqB multiplex from your nearest main transmitter or major relay mast as such !

Floyd.Luton,LU3 1BE.
Having just read your posts just some moments earlier, first of all is your aerial polarised vertically facing most certainly the local Luton relay mast,or is it polarised horizontally facing most likely the Sandy Heath transmitter or possibly Crystal Palace transmitter. Also if i mind asking what colour are the tips of your aerial,is it externally on the roof, internally in the loft or a set-top aerial as such.
For a start if your aerial is vertically polarised facing the local Luton relay mast you will only receive the public service broadcast multiplexes (PSB) BBCA,D3+4 and if your appliance has an DVB-T2 tuner the BBCB (HD) mux as well.It will not receieve commercial service multiplexes (COM) SDN,ArqA and ArqB from Luton relay being a freeview lite mast itself.
If your aerial is polarised horizontally check the local news bulletins between 6pm-6.30pm on ITV1,if its Anglia News you receive you're definitely using Sandy Heath,if its London Tonight you receive instead then you're definitely using Crystal Palace. As for 6.30pm-7pm on BBC1 if it Look East then its Sandy Heath your tuned to,but if its London News instead then your tuned to Crystal Palace.
Can you list some of the channels that you currently receive by the frequencies concerned and list the frequencies too at the same time.
That way either myself or any others on this forum can give further valuable advice and assistance to you as such !

Thank you all for trying to help, but I explained before, I got my second Goodmans set top box, because with the first one I lost ALL SIGNALS!
I got a new one and after many tries I finally was able to get all of the channels. It worked fine for 2 days. Then the reception started to break down (interruptied pictures etc.)Then I lost ALL CHANNELS! I cannot see anything any more. All the channels are still in the menu and I don't want to rescan because I might lose some of the channels I want.
Is there any way to explain why in the world I was receiving all channels for 2 days and then I did not get any signals at all any more? I don't know what to do now. Get another box?
