Mclauchlan: Can you receive either Quest(38) or 5*(30) if not then you could be receiving from a Freeview light transmitter that does not transmit commercial channels, or alternatively that your retune has just not picked up the SDN mux and so you should carry out another retune.
A post code or one from nearby is necessary to check this out.

D Nielsen: A post code or one from nearby is necessary to be able to answer your question, as only then can the transmitters that cover your area be checked on, as you might have carried out a retune and picked up a Freeview light (PSB only) station, this type of station not transmitting commercial channels and which ITV3 is one of.
To test can you get 5*(30) or Quest(38)? as both these programmes are on the same mux transmitter as ITV3.

Walton On The Naze
My Mother has also lost ITV 3 which is her favourite channel since the latest digital retune for her area. We have tried re-tuning her set top box several times and have not been able to pick it up. Her postcode is CO14 8EL. She is receiving all of the other ITV stations on Freeview.

Anne Mihailovic: The reception of ITV3 is not really indicated as being good from any of the stations that cover your area, however Sudbury is indicated as having the edge over Dover.
You should remove your aerial and carry out an auto-tune to blank out anything stored in the tuners memory, then once complete reconnect the aerial and go into the TV or boxes tuning menu / manual tune and enter Ch58 (Sudbury's ITV3) then press search (or scan) and store anything found.
By the way, as soon as you enter Ch58 you should see the strength / quality of the signal being received on that channel being indicated so make a note of it for future reference, as even although strength / quality might be indicated its not necessarily at a level that will resolve a picture, although if over 50% then it should.
Should this action restore ITV3 then go into the "search for other channels" option, and dependant on how it works in your set (as they are all different!) using that facilty might restore the remaining channels, if not though then the channels will have to be entered manually one at a time in the same way as you have already done for ITV3.
Sudbury's channels / 44(BBC) - 41(ITV1) - 47(HD) - 58(ITV3 etc) - 60(ArqA) - 56(ArqB)

Pam hinton: If you have an ITV3 in the channel list which does not give a picture when selected it is possible that mux SDN from either Waltham on C29 or Tacolneston on C42 was picked up and the channels stored instead of the correct Sandy Heath transmission on C51. If this is the case , try to do a manual tune on C51 to restore the correct version of SDN to your receiver. You might need to clear the channel list first, before manually inserting the full set of Sandy Heath frequencies to restore a working channel list.
