Updates for 700MHz Freeview retunes, fixed all channels, new icons, radio fixes
700MHz clearance
700MHz clearance is the project of rolling retunes to better arrange the Freeview transmission frequencies, so they can be used in 2020 for 5G mobile data. It was blogged about here, but not integrated into the site’s many features.
Having spent a whole day gathering the change information for 300 transmitters and placing them in a database table, I was able to re-code four of the UK free TV features to use them. These are the technical prediction system https://ukfree.tv/prediction where all change dates are showing…

Fixed all channels
The popular “All channels” page https://ukfree.tv/channels/all – the one that shows all the channels you can watch free-to-air – was a little out of date. I am once checking automatically against the other sources such as DMOL and Freesat.
New icons
I have selected icons for each section, which makes everything a little friendlier.
Radio sections - general fixes
There are many and various fixes in the radio section. All of the links now link to pages of information, and all of those now have one of the static maps on them, showing the overage area. Such as this example https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/analogueradio/Ardgour
Backend stuff
I have also fixed a number of back-end systems that provide features such the channel viewing figures history graphics. Such as https://ukfree.tv/channels/channel/FOUR7HD
So, everything should work now!

Thank you for your hard work in updating ukfree.tv! :-)
Just a couple of things that I have seen are incorrect:
(1) - I am aware that PSB1 (BBC A) for Midhurst in West Sussex is on UHF Channel 48 (690.0MHz), not UHF Channel 55, as I was led to believe that UHF 55 and 56 were allocated for Com 7 and 8.
(2) - On the 'Channels' page, is the UK wide version of Channel 4 only for Wales, as it is displaying the Welsh flag next to it!
If you could fix them, that would be brilliant! :-)

Midhurt is fixed now. I had typed -48 into the system, not "48".
I'm going to look at the whole "Channel 4 in Wales" thing, I'm not sure the way it's done is the best.

I think you might find that some of the "updates" on individual transmitter pages may well be the "final" rather than "current" allocations. eg. see my comment on the Mendip page.
Also similar on the Freeview 700MHz clearance (retune) dates | free and easy page.

I have very poor reception with most BBC channels and some others, sometimes having no reception at all. I am served by the Rosemarkie transmitter in the NE of Scotland. Is there anything I can do to improve reception

harry mckay: We need a full postcode to see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc? Are you using a rooftop aerial? Have you checked that there are no loose or damaged cables or connections, as far as you can safely access?

harry mckay: You're predicted to get a strong signal from Rosemarkie for all main multiplexes. Have you checked the cable from the aerial socket to your TV (try swapping it for another in case it's faulty/damaged)? Have you checked whether any of your neighbours in the building are suffering with the same problem? You'll need to get in touch with whoever is responsible for the communal aerial system and get them to send someone out to check it.

Today's (13May19) retune has seen the disappearance of the Forces TV, Smithsonian, etc programs from Sandy Heath, the associated COM mux on RF channel 52 having now disappeared. Can anyone tell me whether these former programs have been reallocated to other muxes or RF channels and, if so, which - also what are the new LCN numbers?
