steven harper: The only changes to have taken place at Black Hill are that COM7 & COM8 have moved to UHF channels 55 & 56 and the local mux has moved to UHF channel 30. There are no further changes planned according to Digital UK.

All free TV channels in the UK

David Wilder: Have you tried asking Virgin Media? This website doesn't cover cable TV as it only offers a subscription service (there are no free to air channels available if you don't take a basic TV subscription).

Winter Hill (Bolton, England) transmitter

Bob McCulloch: The first half of your postcode covers a wide area, we need a full postcode (or one from a shop/pub/garage etc nearby) to get a result from the coverage checker. Did you actually check the cables by unplugging and reinserting them?

Ian: What signal strength are you getting on the other multiplexes? Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

STUART: There are no faults showing for the Ridge Hill transmitter and you are predicted to have a strong signal at your postcode. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Do not attempt to retune.

Mardler : You seem to have missed my point that no one on this website can investigate a transmitter fault as none of us work for or have any connection with Arqiva (the company which operates the transmitter) or any broadcaster and therefore we cannot confirm or deny a fault as we can only see the same information on this page that you can and I have certainly not flatly denied that any fault exists. It is simple logic that a complete loss of service on a main transmitter would have been noticed by far more than one person which makes it far more likely that the problem not at the transmitter. Many people post on this website stating that the transmitter must be off air, despite having nothing further to go on than a sudden loss of signal which could have any number of potential causes.

I also can't tell from your reply whether you have actually checked that you have no local faults or interference or are just assuming this to be the case. To repeat my earlier question, have you checked whether any neighbours have experienced the same loss of signal?

I post on this website in attempt to help people, but will not be replying to you again if you continue to post personal attacks.

A Lloyd: PBS America is on the COM8 multiplex which is not broadcast from Plympton. COM8 (along with COM7) is a temporary service broadcast from 30 main transmitters covering around 70% of UK households. It is expected to close by 2022 and will not be added to any additional transmitters (it is already scheduled to close at the Beacon Hill transmitter near Torquay next year).

Ken Pollard : A DAB radio will show all of the stations which it is able to pick up on a scan. I'm not sure that there is any area where all of the Absolute stations are available. Absolute Radio & Absolute 90s are carried on the D1 National multiplex available to 90%+ of UK households, Absolute 80s is on SDL National multiplex with around 75-80% of households covered. Absolute 70s, Absolute 60s and Absolute Classic Rock are carried on local multiplexes in certain areas. All are available online.

Colin Wright: True Entertainment is not broadcast from transmitters in Wales.

MikeP: It's usually True Movies that gets temporarily renamed to True Christmas, rather than True Entertainment.
