Pama: Try asking the broadcaster. This isn't their website and nobody here has any information about programme schedules beyond what is published in listing magazines etc.

Jonny: Sony Christmas Channel is carried on the local TV multiplex, which is only available in areas where there is a local TV station on Freeview channel 7 or 8. In Northern Ireland this is only available to viewers in the Belfast area who are able to receive either the Black Mountain or Divis transmitters.

Brian Humphries: Sony moved some of their channels to the local TV multiplex last year, this is only available in areas where there is a local TV station on Freeview channel 7 or 8. This is down to a commercial decision made by Sony over what level of coverage they are willing to pay for, it isn't down to whether anyone else is allowing you to view the channels or not.

Brian H: Pritchett Tower is an analogue radio transmitter, it doesn't broadcast any TV services. All of Sony's channels are broadcast free to air (FTA) on satellite.

Peter Artilison & Susam Smith: The 700MHz clearance was completed in the summer. It was fully planned in conjunction with the transmitter operator Arqiva and not done in some random way as Susam is suggesting. There was a scheme to provide free replacement aerials to those households who needed one and didn't have cable or satellite. Anyone who has been affected should have discovered months ago if they needed a new aerial, so very few people will be needing to pay 100-200 for a new aerial due to the frequency changes. Can you define what you mean when you say this is not the end of it, as all frequency allocation changes due to the 700MHz clearance have been completed?

Ian Jackson: The BBC announced back in January that Three Counties Radio was one 6 local radio stations that would close on AM/medium wave. 3CR continues to be broadcast on FM and DAB.

Brian: You would have to ask Sony, it was their decision to move some of their channels to the local TV multiplex last year (only available in areas where there is a local TV station on Freeview channel 7 or 8). Some Sandy Heath viewers (in Cambridge and some surrounding areas) can get the local mux from the Madeingly transmitter on the edge of the city.

Diana Bath: Sony moved some of their channels to the local TV multiplex last year, which is only available in areas where there is a local TV station broadcasting on Freeview channel 7 or 8. As there is no local TV station broadcast from Lark Stoke, you won't get the Sony Christmas channel. This was a commercial decision made by Sony, nobody from this independant website has anything to do with it.

Tim: ITV HD regions have not changed on Freeview, the changes only took place on satellite and cable. There has been no announcement of any date/timescale for any additional BBC or ITV HD regions to be made available on Freeview. Making these changes on Freeview is much more complex and expensive than satellite or cable and required the BBC and ITV to agree to co-ordinate and split the cost (several million pounds) of the changes required to bring additional HD regions to Freeview.

MAURICE LOWE: That would be audio description, which you have turned on by accident. Look for a button labelled AD on your remote, or an option to turn Audio Description on/off in the settings menu.
