Edward Fowler: There are numerous HD channels available for free with a Sky HD box (BBC1 HD, BBC2 HD, BBC4 HD, BBC News HD, CBBC HD, CBeebies HD, ITV HD, Channel 4 HD, Channel 5 HD, S4C HD, NHK World HD, RT HD, CNN HD being some of the main ones) even if you don't have a subscription. HD versions of pay channels that you receive as part of your Sky subscription are never going to be free as most of these channels wouldn't exist if they were not part of Sky's subscription packages.

F. Alexander: What reset are you referring to? Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? There are no faults or engineering work showing for either the Rosneath or Garelochhead transmitters (both should provide a good signal at your postcode according to Digital UK's coverage checker).

To all asking about the limited availability of True Christmas:

As of this morning, True Christmas has moved multiplex and should now be available to around 90% of UK households on Freeview. You may need to retune to update your channel list (some receivers will update automatically). See the link below for details.

linda henstock: Do you have a subscription to Eurosport Player or do you subscribe via one of the pay TV services such as Sky or Virgin Media?

Imogen Clout: Since your post, a transmitter engineering notice has appeared for Ferryside stating that the transmitter is currently off air. This is likely due to a fault as there have been no recent notices of planned engineering work. Do not attempt to retune, just wait and your channels will return when the transmitter is fixed.

Andrew Day: There has been DAB coverage across various of Devon for many years. If you provide a postcode, you'll be able to access a coverage checker for DAB which will show you which services should be available at your location.

Pauline Hanna: Freeview channel 74 is The Store (a shopping channel which only broadcasts for a couple of hours overnight) and has nothing to do with True Christmas. Do you have any other channels missing?

Mr Redington: Firstly, language such as that used in your post is completely inappropriate for this website, which is independent of any broadcaster or transmitter company. Without knowing where you are (please provide a full postcode) we don't know which transmitters serve your location or what your signal strength should be.

JOHN DICKSON: The coverage checker shows that your postcode should have good coverage for COM8 (the multiplex that carries FreeSports) from Bluebell Hill. It also shows that COM8 is also available at a weaker signal from Crystal Palace, so it's possible that your Humax box has tuned into Crystal Palace. Do you get any problems with the QVC HD shopping channels on 111 and 112? Does your box have a manual tuning function in the menu? If you select FreeSports and go to manual tuning, it should show you which UHF channel/frequency it is being found on.

Channels 95-99 were previously used as an overspill section when the children's channel section became full, however a number of channels (including news, children's, streamed & adult sections) were moved to new numbers a couple of months ago. Carrying out a full retune should correct this and update all the channels that have changed to their new numbers (make a note of any planned recordings as they may need to be reprogrammed after retuning).
