There are no VCRs (video cassette recorders) that have a DVB-T2 tuner (I'm not sure if there were ever any produced with a DVB-T tuner) capable of receiving HD channels. Do you have BBC One HD and BBC Two HD on the Samsung TV?

Brian: Are these trees close to your property? You're predicted to have good reception of the main PSB1-3 and COM4-6 multiplexes. Was the aerial installer not able to suggest another location they could relocate the aerial to where the trees would not obstruct the signal? Alternatively, have you looked at Freesat?

Helen : Probably due to a fault with your aerial system. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, but don't attempt to retune.

Barbara Hudson: The fact that one of your neighbours in the same building suffers the same problem is a clear indication that there is a fault somewhere in the communal aerial system. This has nothing to do with your TV licence, you need to take it up with whoever is responsible for building maintenance.

Graham Richards: All multiplexes broadcast from Kilvey Hill are well within the frequency range that should be receivable on an existing Group A aerial. Have you tried manual tuning on UHF channel 25?

David Hitchin, carol halligan & Terry hough: An engineering post has appeared which confirms that the transmitter was off air for around 2 hours earlier this evening. Resetting is never recommended during a sudden loss of signal as all it does it to delete all of the correctly tuned channels and search for them again.
