Dave Mitchell: An idea of location would be useful so as get an idea of predicted signal levels.
With Tacolneston the COM channels are below the old analogue Group so if it's a problem caused by the aerial not being the best at that frequency (i.e. "out-of-Group") then it will only affect the COMs.

Graham.; jb38: The Ferryside transmitter is unique. It was the first transmitter to be converted to digital and carries PSB1, PSB2, PSB3 (HD) and COM4 (SDN). It is probably for this reason that this website has trouble showing it - because usually transmitters are either PSB-only or PSB+COMs 4, 5 and 6.

John Mitchell: The COM7 multiplex is a quasi-national one. It is effectively in "pre-switchover" mode, rather like Freeview coverage prior to the switch-off of analogue.

michele: How long is a piece of string?
An idea of your location, preferably in the form of postcode, is imperative so as to get an idea of what's expected in your area.
You say you only get BBC services. So if you're using a transmitter which doesn't carry the COMs (ITV3, Pick, Dave etc) and your TVs don't contain HD receivers then you're only missing PSB2 which carries ITV/STV/UTV, Channel 4, Channel 5 etc.

ITV3+1 timeshares with other services meaning that the "air space" is used by different channels at different times.

MikeB: The Digital UK Coverage Checker throws up some odd results sometimes!
Llandecwyn is 32km away and radiates at 60W so I think that's out of the question.
michele: What does a manual scan of UHF channel 44 give you? Select/enter 44 and wait and see if it gives any indication of strength and quality - i.e. don't press the button to scan/add channels straight away.

Julian: A more accurate location (full postcode) may allow a more accurate response.
However, I would suggest that 41 and 47 are PSB1 and PSB2 from Seagry Court. Judging by the Wenvoe map on this site it looks like it doesn't reach as far as Swindon.

Bill Parsons: Yes, it is possible, but would mean that the cost of regional news would be even higher than it is now.
At the present time there is only one BBC One HD feed and to have one for each SD region would mean duplication of the equipment that produces the multiplex stream, and this would be required even if regional news were in SD. There is only about one hour of regional news on weekdays so the additional accounted "cost per minute" for the equipment would be very high!
I don't think it's a responsible use of Licence Fee payers' money.
