Mark: Sandy Heath's Mux 21 which transmits BBC1 HD is presently being received at around the normal level up here in the Stamford area, this rather indicating that nothing is amiss with the transmission side of the equation, and so apart from checking that the jumper lead from the aerial wall socket (if used) is OK I would be inclined to leave things as they are for the time being, as many areas in the UK have been (and presently are) experiencing the adverse effects of the high pressure that's sweeping across Southern parts of the UK, the effects referred to resulting in spells of erratic reception in certain areas.

By the way, although reception is indicated as being excellent at the post code location provided, it should also be said that this post code would appear to relate to buildings in an industrial estate rather than in a domestic environment.

Currently having signal quality issues on Sandy Heath MUX 21, signal strength is normal at approx 75% but signal quality is low at 30%. So low in fact it triggers an on screen error message re low signal on my BT YouView box.

Gary C: The reply given to Mark in the posting preceding your own still applies, (me having just rechecked) insomuch that Sandy's Mux21 which broadcasts BBC / ITV HD channels is being received at around normal levels up here in the Stamford area, the problem with reception of same in your particular area most likely being down to interference to the signal as a result of high pressure zones which is currently sweeping across the lower half of the UK, this, according to that seen on the pressure chart, (ak; William Hepburn) not completely clearing away (via the Northern regions) until around next Thursday.

Bryan: The answer is basically yes!, that is provided that you receive Freeview from Heathfield and *not* the local Eastbourne Freeview light transmitter, as Premier radio (725) is broadcast on COM6, this multiplex only included in the transmitter line up of main stations and not relays of same, such as in the case of Eastbourne.

By the way, should the other post code you used (TN34 etc) also apply?, then Premier radio is also receivable from Hastings COM6.

Since Friday 16 September 2016 we have lost ALL DAB radio stations on the D1 National Newhaven 11D band on all 54 DAB radios in our house. Does anybody know of any reason why, because I can't find any mention of a problem on the Newhaven Transmitter website. We are more than one DAB radio in the house, and the stations have disappeared from all of them. I have done a autotune on my own Pure DAB radio (just now - Sunday 18 Sep at 14.1 hrs) and the only stations it finds and lists are those on the Sussex and BBC bands. We have an outdoor roof aerial pointing to the Newhaven transmitter.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated

Ian Farrow: Hi, Ian. There has been engineering work taking place at the Newhaven transmission site on Friday 16 September, but this may have been completed by now, so it's worth trying to receive D1 stations again today. Alternatively, try re-aligning your DAB aerial on to the Heathfield transmitter to your north-North-East, this being the main DAB transmitter for East Sussex. Richard, Norwich.

Ian Farrow: sorry - I typed 54 radios in our house - it should have read FIVE (5) radios only

Richard Cooper: Thanks Richard, but our roof aerial has to be pointed to Newhaven transmitter for TV coverage and we are having no problems with TV reception. All five radios in the house have their own individual built-on aerials and my Pure radio I have tried retuning away from the house to see if I can get D! stations, but without success. Indoors I have pointed the radio aerials in umpteen different directions and again no success. Heathfield transmitter is no good for our TV reception where we are in Newhaven.

Thanks for your answer - the only one I have received !!! Ian Farrow
