Robin: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections? Resetting was a bad idea as you have now deleted all of your channels. Which transmitter are you using? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

I have lost about 100 channels in the last few days as has my daughter who lives at the other end of our village. I have done all the recommended checks and retunes under your "Freeview reception has changed" section. My aerial is located on my roof. I note from your coverage map that we are not covered by Divis but have an o2 mast within 1.5km of the house. Could there be an issue with that mast? Can you check it? Can you fix it? I look forward to your response, thanks.

John Plummer: No one from this website can check or fix a possible problem with a mobile phone mast, only the mobile network who operate the mast can do that (although it's unlikely that all channels would be completely wiped out by interference from a mobile phone mast). Please provide a full postcode so that we can see the predicted coverage at your location.

All Freeview channels lost from approx 9.45pm 14th May in the Cambridge (Cambs) area - all resets tried and cables tested, but to no avail: channel names and programme titles come up, followed by a black screen and the error message "This channel is not in service".

Nick: There are no faults showing for the Sandy Heath transmitter. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV?

Hi ,
Off Late, we don't seem to get BBC 1 & BBC 2 on our Sony Bravia TV. The first channel is ITV. I have tried to reset and retune the TV yet the problem exists. Hope you can help.
Many thanks

Sunil Surya:

Please check that yiour TV is tuned to the correct transmitter. Start by looking at the 'digitaluk trade' link below your post (or go to Coverage Checker - Detailed View which is the same location) and then looking at the direction your aerial is aimed. If it is looking at Crystal Palace it will be aimed at a bearing of 110 degrees, if it is aimed at Hannington it will be looking at 236 degrees. At your location Hannington is predicted to give more reliable results. In both cases you need a Group T or a wideband aerial, Group A or B aerials are no longer suitable for either transmitter.

Once you have determined which transmitter your current aerial is aimed, you have to decide whether to have the aerial changed to a wideband type and whether to have it aimed at Crystal Palace or Hannington, bearing in mind that Crystal Palace will givce poorer results, but Hannington should be more reliable.

Then you can manually tune to the preferred transmitter, auto-tuning could pick up the wrong channels. The correct channels are given in the link quoted earlier.

Have two filters for 4G interference and all has been fine, but past two days suddenly experiencing terrible intereference on channel 65 and related channels - what is going on and will it stop soon; or will I need to install stronger measures to prevent further 4G? Can't find any news online. Thanks.
