By providing a full postcode (such as W1A 1AA), national grid reference (for example SE123456) or latitude, longitude pair (like 54, -0.5) this page will provide a map, terrain plot and detailed information of the location showing the UK and RoI television transmitters that it is possible you receive Freeview, Freeview HD, Youview, BT TV and Saorview from.

(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).

UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

D. Madden: The Huntshaw Cross transmitter has changed frequencies overnight, so you will need to retune. If you find that you still have channels missing after retuning, you should contact the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) who can arrange for a replacement wideband aerial to be fitted, free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable.

A Lloyd:

Unfortunately the site owner has not been able as yet to update all the information. Visit Digital UK | Channel listings should give an up-to-date list which you can order by LCN, Mux etc by clicking on the heading of the column.

Stephen:

If this occurs at exactly the same time each day then it could be caused by interference from something controlled by a timer eg. central heating, discharge lighting etc. Do your neighbours get a similkar issue? or see below.

NasS: & Shopps:

As mentioned elsewhere COMs 7&8 are now SFNs (Single frequency Networks) on UHF 55&56 and if you aren't close enough to your particular transmitter, then you may get interference from other transmitters which may be constant or vary with weather system changes and prevent and reception of the those muxes.

The Channel list for Crystal Palace needs updating - CH 30 carries BBC1 HD (and others) from Crystal Palace but your list has no mention of Ch 30.

My aerial is on the roof, we have been having difficulty getting BBC1 and 2 and many other channels upto 11pick and some of the higher channels. This has been going on for over a week now. have retuned the TV several times and turned freeview box on and off several times to reboot.

D Twyman: Retuning is the worst thing to do when you have a weak signal as you are deleting all of your correctly tuned channels and searching for them again. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see which transmitters you're able to receive, where you are in relation to them and your predicted signal strength etc.

mr stephen webb: True Entertainment and True Movies have moved to the local TV multiplex, which is not broadcast from Ridge Hill as there are no local TV stations in any of the areas covered by that transmitter. The only people who can decide if they will return to wider coverage are Sony, who own the True channels.

To those of baffled by my continued requests for MUXs in the old format. My difficulties finding the old 'channel numbers', is purely down to the new formatting to colour. I failed to see them in their new [light blue?] format on your listings. This may have been an ink failure, which I have yet to remedy in my printer.
Thanks for all help, previous & current.

John K (or Jack?):

I was a little uncertain about what you meant exactly, but having had a look at some of your previous posts, I can see why you need to readily identified the UHF Frequency/Channel numbers. However, the listings on this site aren't always up-to-date as the site owner has not always had time to correct them with all the changes around the country.

If you put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker it will give you all the latest information about the transmitters you should be able to receive, and the UHF channel numbers and predicted reception. Hope that helps.
