Oscar: If you are using a signal amplifier (booster) then any filter must be fitted before it so as to prevent any 800MHz 4G signal overloading it.

Timbo: The immediate reason that would spring to mind is that your main TV has carried out an automatic channel update and in the process of has picked up and stored the channels in the 20 / 30 range as used by Crystal Palace, Sudbury's channels being in the 40 - 60 range.
Some Freeview devices carry out this procedure "automatically" every 24 hours resulting in problems for many who reside in an area where more than one station can be received and likewise have to use manual tuning to store the mux channels required, whereas on most other equipment this facility is offered as a switchable option.
Have a look in your TV's set up menu for this option, if seen disable it.

Ash: The problem you have described sounds absolutely the sort of outcome where a signal booster is connected but has failed.

I have a new tv (with combined freeview tuner), a new tv aerial on roof (professionally fitted), existing cable feed is about 10yr old. I can receive all channels clearly EXCEPT all the BBC channels, which just stutter. The local transmitter is Sandy Heath, and I understand that I should not be affected by 4G (at the moment). All resets etc have been covered. my Postcode is PE8 6LF.
Can anyone helo please?

Bill Dunnakey: Looking at the terrain plot for your location, there is something in the way of the signal path of all three transmitters! That makes sense, since its pretty hilly around where you live (my kids used to go to Sacrewell Farm a fair bit. so I know the area a little).
But Sandy Heath looks good according to Digital UK, and its seems fine for you. If it wasnt for the terrain plot, I'd suggest that your signal might be just too good - I know its along way, but I've had a problem over a similar distance. Check the signal level, because BBC channels tend to be a little more powerful than most, and your new TV might have a more sensitive tuner, hence the problem.
If not, perhaps someone can suggest something else.
