All the other transmitters will have Freeview HD at switchover.
The "advanced service" is on unknown frequencies, so it is possible that there might be different coverage to standard Freeview and a wideband aerial might be required. The advanced services will move to their correct frequencies at switch-over.
You will need an HDTV and a new Freeview HD box to view the service, and a roof top aerial will be essential.

Derek Burton:
(1) No, not a FreeVIEW+ box, but a FreeSAT+ box. All about Freesat | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
(2) No, you can't watch subscription channels when not using a subscription. Dave is free-to-air on FreeVIEW only, not FreeSAT.

I have just bought a Freeview HD TV and can receive BBC1 NORTH, ITV1, CHANNEL4 AND BBC HD
Which are all great. Can you advise when I will be able to receive the other HD Freeview channels like Film4 etc? I cant find any dates or plans on any website at all?

mike kitson: There are no plans for any more Freeview HD channels at the moment.
There will be a "spectrum auction" at some point for the frequencies as they become available in 2012/13, but this may or may not result in more channels.

Hi
Regarding Freeview HD. In NN15 5EX on Sandy Heath. Freeview HD is not showing as available at all. in other areas served by Sandy the website is giving a date of later this year to be able to received Freeview HD. I'm about to purchase a Freeview + box. Is it worth getting an HD one or I am really not going to be able to receive Freeview HD (even though areas further from Sandy can!)?
