My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Bob: Have you confirmed that it is tuned to Heathfield and not another transmitter such as Bexhill, as this would seem the most likely?

We have had a beautiful picture with freeview untill now. The 5usa and 5star and some other programs have suddenly become unwatchable. The aerial has not moved and everything is as was. Why should there be any difference now.

Margaret: I'm looking at photos of your location on Streetview and seeing buildings that appear to be served by communal aerial systems. Therefore if the fault is not within your equipment or wiring then it needs reporting to the party responsible for rectification.

Tiverton
I cannot get unpixilated reception from any BBC channel - all the commercial stations are fine. I have a Humax PVR-9200T which is great and a Panasonic tv - what's wrong?

Roger: If your tuned into Tiverton, your just 2km away! BBC channels tend to be stronger than the rest, so if your tuner is sensitive like the Humax (and the Panasonic, it has to be said), then it can be overloaded, and so start to break up.
Check the signal strength, and then which transmitter. Look for more info here: Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you

Roger: You should also be aware of the fact, that as from today 17th, engineering work is taking place at the Tiverton transmitter, likewise the problem you refer to could possibly be linked to this work.

Roger : In addition to that said, you should carry out signal strength comparison check between the BBC and ITV channels on your 9200, this achieved by selecting each of the channels in turn followed by pressing: - Menu - System - Signal detection, strength indications of anything over 90% strength on that model being a tad on the high side, normal indications being around 82 - 87%.
