P. Snow : If it's being caused by interference then you need to look for electrical devices (probably something with an electric motor) being switched on at the same time that you loose signal. It could be something in your own home or a near neighbor.

luke harwood: You should get a good signal from the Horndean lite relay 1km away from your postcode. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, then work your way back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial. Is the booster still getting power (most have a small LED to indicate that powered is being received) and is it powered from a mains supply in the loft or is it powered by an adaptor behind the TV?

Dave: Are you watching ITV SD (LCN 3) or ITV HD (LCN 103)? There is only one HD version of ITV Meridian.

Dave: There is only a single version of ITV Meridian HD on Freeview, satellite and cable. No other versions exist in HD currently on any platform. You would have to switch to ITV SD on LCN 3 to get the correct local news.

Phil: HD channels were introduced at every transmitter between 2010-2012, with the main HD channels being broadcast at the same power level as BBC and ITV SD channels. There is very little chance of any Freeview Lite relays having additional commercial multiplexes added as the commercial broadcasters are not prepared to pay the additional costs when it will only make their channels available to relatively few extra viewers (there are 80-90 main transmitters broadcasting 6 or more multiplexes to around 90% of UK households - to reach 98.5% coverage of the PSB multiplexes requires over 1,000 additional transmitters). If you provide a full postcode we can see what coverage is predicted at your location and may be able to offer suggestions to improve your reception.

Shane: You are predicted to receive a strong signal for the NI minimux from Black Mountain (your main channels come from Divis). Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Retuning was a bad idea as you've now deleted the channels from the NI mux which were previously tuned correctly.

GrahamS: Have you checked the menu on the TV that is auto-retuning? It may have an option to disable this behaviour. If you post the model number of the TV someone here may know more about it.

Shane: Divis is on a compass bearing of 81 degrees and Black Mountain is on a bearing of 84 degrees from your location, so there should be no need to adjust the direction of your aerial. The NI mux is on UHF channel 39 for manual tuning.

DaveD: LCN 88 is Clubland TV which is only broadcast on the GMAN multiplex, not COM8. If you mean Now 80s, it has moved to LCN 83 and continues to be broadcast on COM8. If you provide a full postcode we can see whether the GMAN mux is predicted to be available at your location. (PR2 covers a wide area and will not give a result on the coverage checker).
