My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Hi,
I've followed the instructions but i've still no luck. I've a roof aerial, and a digi box and tv in my bedroom.
I've also a tv with build in digi box in the living room.
Both boxes have lost channels i.e. they've lost bbc1 / bbc2 / and about another 20 off channels.
I've tried rescanning in etc. but they dont pick up. Would this be an aerial problem. I've check all the connections into my booster box in the attic and they're fine. by looking from the ground up to the aerial outside it looks fine.
Any advice greatly appreciated. the tv with inbuilt digi box is a Evotel.

My Ariel is pointing at Waltham transmitter and since the Nottingham transmitter changed over on April 13th I have noticed a decrease in signal strength to 8% for ITV, Ch4 and Ch5. So much so it is not worthy of watching. All the other channels remain fine. It's most frustrating to iron this out and glad I'm not the only one who is experiencing similar issues. I have tried a manual tune but having read the above comments I will have to follow the picture guide above and see if it works.

I live in NG12
We have lost all our ITV channels and Channel 4/5. Tried all ways to retune even reset the television but to no avail.
Can anyone tell me which way to point the aerial for the Waltham transmitter?

Brianist,
The single frequency interface page hasn't solved any of the issues. Is there any advice you can give on this. It does seem alot of Nottingham based people are suffering similar problems since the 13th and point people at one page or another isn't helping.
This situation is hugely frustrating - is there any real advice you can give me and the rest of the posters on this thread?
Yours hopefully!

ng219JW - Have lost all MUX2 channels on my Humax 9300t PVR. Have followed all the advice about factory reset etc to no avail. Have looked on Digital UK and according to them my house should be picking up the waltham transmitter, but my direct next door neighbour 20 feet away ( it states )should be getting the belmont signal. All was well until 13th April !!!! PS Can get all 5 analogue channels
