Paul Smith: At a guess, atmospheric conditions have caused services from a French transmitter to travel further than normal, which happen to be broadcasting on the same frequencies as the transmitter you normally receive. To give any specific advice we need to know where you are (please provide a full postcode) so that we can see which transmitter you're meant to be receiving and your predicted coverage etc.

DAVID WEBSTER: Depending on your exact location you may be able to receive the SDL National DAB multiplex which contains several DAB+ stations (e.g. Fun Kids, Jazz FM, Union Jack and a few others). Your radio should find these by auto tuning if you are within the coverage area, or you can manually tune to VHF block 11A if your radio has a manual tuning function.

Andrew Cherowbrier: Please provide a full postcode so that we can see your predicted coverage at your location. Do you get any of the other COM8 channels such as Freesports or BBC Four HD?

Nick Taylor-Guy: If the problem is happening during rain or mist then it's quite likely that the rain/moisture is getting in to your aerial system somewhere. If you provide a full postcode then we can see your predicted coverage, which transmitter you're using etc and see what signal strength you should be getting.

Margaret lodge: There are no faults showing for the Keighley transmitter. If the fault continues you should contact whoever is responsible for maintaining the communal aerial system and get them to investigate.

Robert Tidy: You might be able to get some channels on an indoor aerial, however you would be far better off using a rooftop aerial as although there are multiple transmitters predicted to be receivable at your postcode, none of them are predicted to provide a strong signal.
Darren: Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to each transmitter and the predicted coverage at your location.

ROBERT LONGDEN: Most likely due to a fault (e.g. loose connection etc) somewhere in your aerial system. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV. Do not attempt to retune.

Mike Hoare: The Digital UK checker shows that Sandy Heath is on a bearing of 131 degrees from your postcode. You don't have a digital aerial as no such thing exists. Your aerial will need to be a wideband type for good reception of all multiplexes from Sandy Heath.

Robert Robertson: You need to find the fault that caused it to stop working. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, then work your way back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial. Do not attempt to retune as this will just delete all of your correctly tuned channels before searching for them again.

Melanie Slater: What do you mean by it was too small? Do you mean the connector that pushes into the aerial socket on the back of the TV? Could you also clarify if you're now trying a set top aerial?
