My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Mark Wilson: Can I add to Dave Lindsay's advice on finding out about engineering work to say that BT has no control over such work - they have supplied you with a box, thats all.

Keighley
Location is BD22 9RS. No BBC 1, 2, 3 or 4 reception (aware that BBC3 & 4 are not transmitting but get same response as for BBC1 & 2) - TV displays "No signal". All other channels working.

Ross Graham: Follow the link to "R&T Investigation", adjacent to your posting. It says that BBC TV and HD TV have been off-air from Oxenhope transmitter since 11:04hrs. R&T Investigation only reports on BBC transmitters.
I will make one observation if I may. You say "all other channels working", but don't say what they are.
Oxenhope broadcasts only PSB channels (BBC, ITV, ITV+1, ITV2, Channel 4, Channel 4+1, E4, Film4, More4, Channel 5 and the four HD services). Judging by the Digital UK predictor and Streetview photos, which show Keighley-facing aerials, you may be able to receive the full-service from it, probably with a replacement aerial.

Seaton
I live in Seaton, Devon and wish to retune my (new) TV to the Stockland Hill transmitter which I think is C26 (514.2 MHZ) is that correct? This is so that I can get our local TV station (BBC South West and NOT BBC West). Thank you.

Suzanne: That is correct. If both signals are present and the tuner fills the channel list on a first come first served basis, Stockland Hill would usually be put in the LCN (normal) positions in the channel list and Mendip BBC West at 800. If a regional preference is offered during the scan select the Southwest option. You could clear the channel list then do a manual tune for each of the Stockland Hill frequencies in turn, however some receivers would still offer BBC West as a "new channel found" if a signal is present.

I am not seeing EPG data past 24 hours out for ITV +1 channel on DTT from Mendip. Is there a reason why many of the ITV mix channels don't seem to have extended EPG data at the moment? Or is my receiver getting took long in the teeth (an old Pioneer PVR - no longer made or supported by updates)? It seems to still pick up data for all BBC channels up to seven days out. Just not getting ITV/Ch4 related channels data.

AndyC:
Old equipment can start doing strange things.
The when it starts to allocate random numbers for your channels its time to definitely upgrade.
PVR units usually only last about 4 years before they start having issues.
