Kevin T: There is only one national version of BBC One HD for the whole of England which doesn't carry any regional news. This is mainly down to the cost of having to upgrade the whole broadcast chain to enable a HD version of each BBC One region to be created (all the other equipment and links in the chain between the regional studio and transmitters would need to be upgraded for HD even if the studio cameras are only SD). The BBC would also need to pay for a lot more satellite capacity. Whilst the BBC have said they are working on finding lower costs methods of launching BBC One regions in HD, it seems unlikely that all regions will be made available in HD on Freeview and satellite until the SD versions close.

Ann Fletcher: Firstly, retuning was a bad idea and will never fix a weak signal (all you are doing is deleting your correctly tuned channels and searching for them again). You need to find the cause of the problem (check for loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV etc) before retuning again (use the manual tuning function if your TV has one) to the correct transmitter (we need a full postcode to see which transmitters you are predicted to receive).

John Cliffe: This is not the website of Retro TV or any other broadcaster and no one here can do anything about incorrect EPG listings.

Arthur Tonkinson: The signals being digital make no difference, it is down to the frequencies used and the weather conditions. Lift conditions allows signals from distant transmitters to be received when they would not usually cause interference is certainly possible at the moment.

John - Hants: That sounds like you are experiencing lift conditions caused by the current hot weather, allowing signals from more distant transmitter to be received which interfere with the wanted signals from Rowridge.

Howard Benson: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your Sky box, along the route or the cable and at the LNB on the end of the dish arm (if it can be safely accessed)?

kevin: Retuning will never fix a weak signal as all you are doing is deleting your channels which were already tuned correctly and searching for them again. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? The current hot weather conditions are causing TV and radio signals to travel much further than they normally would, resulting in interference from distant transmitters causing reception problems in various parts of the country which may be a factor.
