UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Helen Cowdrey : According to RadioToday | Global Radio confirms local Gold changes

The frequencies, listed below, will broadcast the London output of Smooth Radio instead of Gold. It brings an end to decades of programmes under the 'gold' name for most of the frequencies, which were previously known as either Classic Gold or Capital Gold.

Berkshire and North Hampshire (1431/1485)
Bristol and Bath (1260)
Cambridgeshire (1332)
Dorset and Hampshire (828)
Essex (1359/1431)
Gloucester (774)
Hampshire (1170/1557)
Herts, Beds and Bucks (792/828)
Kent (1242/603)
Northamptonshire (1557)
Norfolk (1152)
North Wales and Cheshire (1260)
Plymouth (1152)
South Wales (1305/1359)
Suffolk (1170/1251)
Sussex (1323/945)
Wiltshire (936/1161)

Gold seems to be returning to many DAB local multiplexes in the slots previously occupied by Xfm (which seems to be replaced by Radio X on a national multiplex).

On-air announcements are telling people to retune their DAB sets to get Gold in "Reading, Basingstoke, Norwich, Kent and the South Coast" - which doesn't really explain how my Peterborough-based set is getting it again.

T. Yardley : A number of local versions of Gold on AM were replaced by Smooth a few years ago, but I wasn't aware that it was ever broadcast of FM anywhere. It's still available on AM in London, the East Midlands and the North West, as well as on DAB in a few more areas. It's also available online at Gold - The Greatest Hits Of All Time

Hi, any ideas why this area Google Maps - in particular along the roads between the A14 at Copdock and the A140 at Stonham are devoid of GOLD coverage.....it is very intermittent, here for a few seconds then gone then here for a few seconds then gone again....it's very irritating to say the least!
I dont understand why as I can pick up pretty much all other stations on the car DAB in those areas so why not Gold ?
Thanks
