MAGIC is a public digital radio station radio. UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Sonia: Hi, Sonia. The following information might explain the reason for your inability to receive Magic Soul Summer on a DAB radio where you are, "Magic Soul Summer is available on local DAB (in mono) in London, Birmingham, Teesside, Tyne and Wear, Humberside, Leeds, Edinburgh, Northern Ireland, Tayside (including Dundee) and Inverness and across the UK on mobile and via the Magic radio website." Sonia: Hi, Sonia. I replied to you on Sunday (yesterday at 8:38 a.m.) Since then, I've had another idea that is that Magic Soul Summer could be transmitted in DAB+ (DAB Plus) format rather than ordinary DAB. This could explain the reason for your being able to receive the station on one of your DAB radios but not the other if the radio on which you cannot receive Magic Soul Summer is the DAB radio that you own which doesn't support DAB+. It tends to be only DAB radios that people have bought fairly recently that definitely support DAB+, whereas DAB radios bought some years ago didn't have the DAB plus circuitry built in. You can even buy cheap DAB radios to this day that don't support DAB+ whereas those that are a little dearer tend to do so. Richard, Norwich.
