David Hathaway: If you have an aerial, then just connecting up a cheap digibox to it is cheap and easy - a Goodmans one can be had for about £17. Admittedly it has no manual tuning, and therefore can be a right PITA to set up (I have one), but you just put a scart into the TV (or even via the aerial socket if it has no scart) and off you go.

David Hathaway: Depending on your location you could only receive the Public Service (PSB) Freeview channels. This will be the case if you are on the Monmouth transmitter. See above for the services it carries.

Hi,
The Monmouth Digi TV signal has been intermittent over the last weeks. My TV is now retuned an auto selects the midlands TV rather that the Welsh channels.
I have checked with other residents who have been seeing the same problem.

Robert Pharoah:
The BBC are reporting a fault.
Whilst the BBC have reported fault details on their individual transmitter page, they have NOT (yet?) added it to a page which is an engineering list of Freeview faults which is where the updates to this site come from.
From 5:05:01am on 27th Nov 2021 BBC A / BBCB HD Off the air due to a fault
This is most likely due to current abysmal weather conditions, and if due to a power outage you'd best be looking for details regarding such outages in your area. I can't find any further updates at present.
