with regards to wrexham rhos transmitter, what is going on, dose any one know ?? all problems started dso wreking on 28/9/11 up to that date no problems after that, problems the fix so we are told,is a single lead no combiners etc yes this is possible, but nowdays most have more than one television, and want more than a dozen chanels, which is all we get from wrexham rhos,so 2 arieals norh west/welsh combined in distribution then fed to respective rooms, its been like this for years up until the dso on the 28/9/11 how do we tell customers that we have dealt with for years that the system they have is defunct, its mad, whatever was done at the dso needs to be re looked and not blamed on conbiners/amps an so on,the more complaints the bbc get perhaps something will get done, and belive me iv tryd good luck

john phillips: I'm noticing also how the signal for D3&4 (Ch.22) sometimes seems quite poor. Tonight it was 54 Strength 0 Quality whereas BBCA (Ch.28) was around both 90 Strength and Quality.
I can only presume like yourself it's because of D3&4 from The Wrekin (Ch. 23) having quite a high signal strength and quality but also down to the weather pulling in The Wrekin signal stronger and blocking out nearby signals so 22 and 23 being consecutive channels, and 23 despite being further away but at a much higher transmission power practically blocks out 22 that is transmitted from less than a mile away from where I live. 28 from Wrexham-Rhos appears to be unaffected so presume it's because there's no high-powered transmitters pumping anything out on 27 or 29.

Hi, we recently purchased a new HD TV and upon installation the tv was "tuned in" by the delivery guys. Wales region was the prefered region chosen and all relevant channels were received as expected. Today, upon switching the tv on, a message was displayed stating to re-tune and update channels. I have done this, along with chosing Wales as the prefered region, and now S4C Clirlun has disappeared from the channel line up. I have tried manually tuning the tv by imputting the channel number 53 (freq 730) and a "bar" is being displayed for signal strength, but nothing is being displayed on signal quality and although the message "searching" is being displayed, nothing seems to be happening, as this has been displayed for over half an hour. Our aerial is in the loft and pointing towards Wrexham-Rhos. I would be grateful if you could offer some advice as what to do as I was really looking forward to watching the rugby in HD on S4C!!! Thanks

DJP: Try running the automatic tuning scan with the aerial unplugged and then again with it plugged in until it gets to 25% (or until it's picked up channel 28 (which is BBC from Wrexham).

Thanks Dave, I have done what you've suggested, both BBC 1 and 2 Wales are "bad signals", ITV Wales and S4C are ok though, still no S4C Clirlun and I've noticed ITV 1HD is now Granada instead of Central.

Just done another tuning scan and everything appears to be back to normal now. All 4 Welsh channels coming through clearly, ITV 1 HD is back as Central and S4C Clirlun has returned, whilst all north west channels, including HD channels have returned to the 800's.

Many thanks for your advice and help
