Thanks! Thats good news. At least I wont have to adjust the aerial!
Will they be cranking up the power as well?
And where can I find information about these new transmitters as being just down from Lowestoft we seem to be in a TV fringe blackspot.
Also, any ideas when test transmissions will start?

Peter: The digital power output from this transmitter will be higher than most, which is the same level as the analogue.
New transmitter are on this map - ITV HTV West map | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
There are no test transmissions. If you look above the digital services use the same frequencies as the analogue one use now.

Ah, I get it now. As they share the same transmitter frequency they will obviously need to 'remove' the analogue service first.
Does that mean that provided I get a good strong ananlogue signal I should not find a problem with digital.
I am currently using a roof amp and a 100db indoor amp. Yes, it really is THAT bad!

Peter: Yes, thus it being called "switchover".
If you have analogue reception you will get digital reception.
A rooftop aerial is still required for stable, reliable digital reception.
