Had some power cuts affecting Chartham area this evening and getting errors constantly since saying YouView signal is weak and can't watch any channels at all. Have checked everything in house and wondered if Chartham transmitter had been affected?

Thanks for replying Mike, yesterday my freeview signal showed as 80% signal quality and 10% strength which is why I presume it kept breaking up.
Today it's back to quality 100% and strength 666% and back to normal.
Only thing I did is retune all the channels which had no immediate effect, who knows, seems ok now.
Thanks - Steve.

Transmitter engineering:
No BBC services have been received at CT1 3DE for past couple of days. ITV and Channel 4 channels all fine.Tried retuning and have connected to other transmitter with weak signal (from Dover?) where BBC channels break up with distortion. Not good enough for viewing. When will Chartham transmitter send me BBC again?

Myself and my neighbours are experiencing most channels having really bad pixilation and break up of picture. bbc1,2,itv and 4 seem ok and only occasionally a little pixelation at times. I gather our transmitter is Chartham. We have had problems for some weeks. Fearing I might sound a bit of a lune, i wondered, would by any chance the Cathedral with its huge amount of scaffolding be responsible for our television reception problems? As it is the highest building in Canterbury i thought perhaps it may have something to do with it. Its pretty frustrating as we can only get to watch a couple of channels. Can you help? not sure where else to get help. I have retuned our tv several times.
