Quick note... you give pre switchover power as 2W (-23db on 400W), BBC give it as 2kW; which I find more credible. Probably a useless bit of trivia, but here is legacy website to back up my claim... http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/transmitters/tv/tv_pontop.shtml.
Hence I think it should be 2kW. (400W -6.9dB on 2kW). (NE499DQ)

Haltwhistle
We had a brief power cut last night and have not been able to get any channels all day. I've checked on the tv settings and it says that i have no signal and can find no programmes. I have tried retuning both auto and manual, have reset to factory settings and have tried unplugging it but am still haveing the same problems. I have no picture or sound at all. Please can you help?

Lynn S.: Do you use an amplifier/booster? Perhaps this has failed. Even if there is a light on, don't assume that it is working. A faulty or non-powered amplifier will give out no signal.
Could this be in the loft, for example, and maybe powered from a circuit breaker that has tripped and requires resetting.

Seems to have sorted itself now. Have been able to tune all channels back in after trying all day. Very frustrating but now sorted.
