I have just moved to le2 9ny. I have a loft aerial with booster, but no plumbing pipes in loft. Cannot get strong enough signal to drive my digital recorder, and ch 3,4, and 5 pixelate. If I switch from sutton c to waltham will things improve? Or is a roof mount required?

lg: Yes, you are predicted to get an actual service from Waltham, and not really any from Sutton Coldfield at the moment.

However, loft aerials are not suitable for reliable Freeview reception and you should consider moving the aerial to the roof.

Hi, I live in LE2 9PS. I have a freeview box and hadn't used it for some time. I retuned it but I can only get some channels despite following the steps to resolve - unplug, remove ariel, instalation set up channels etc.
Nothing else is connected to tv. Can only get channels; 12, 15, 18, 21, 22, 24, 40, 45, 48, 85, 89, 90, 94, 96, 99, 108, 199, 306, 711, 712, 713, 714, 715, 716, 718, 722, 725
These are all with excellent picture and sound.
What can I do to get others, BBC1,2,3, ITV1,2,3 Sky3 etc.
Hope you can help
Elaine

Elaine: You should have excellent reception from either the Sutton Coldfield or Waltham transmitters.

Is your aerial located on the roof?

Hi, Im about to fit free sat dish, with free sat hd box, which way should I point my dish ?

All other dishes in the area point the same way on my street should I point it the same others ?

Reciving Free Hd is the driver behind this, so HD receiving is my goal.

Luke: The satellite is in geostationary orbit over the equator and is about the size a large fridge. The dish must be very carefully aligned exactly on the satellite.

This page will give you the exact details - Astra 2D at 28.2°E - LyngSat SatTracker .
