I live in Moston/Charlestown area and my TV screen went blank around 6 pm to 6 30 pm Friday
Sept.9 2022. I missed the entire speech of Prince Charles as the screen was blank on all BBC stations as well as freeview - that is apart from a speaker image in the centre of the screen.
Was this done on purpose? I was really disappointed and went outside to look at my aerial around 6:30 to see if something happened to it - it was ok and when I went back inside the TV pictures
were all on. It does seem strange that Charles' entire speech was blacked out and there were
no apologies on any stations. Can you explain why it went blank for this important half hour?

B Bentley: I do not have any problems as the screen was blank only for the duration of
hCharles' speech on Friday night and it has never happened before or since. I believe someone did it on purpose?

B Bentley: Nobody blanked your screen out deliberately - why would they when it would cause millions of complaints? It sounds like there was either something interfering with the incoming signal, early signs of a fault, or perhaps you inadvertently pressed something on the remote which blanked out the picture?
