When will all freeview channels become available from the Okehampton transmitter? All the freeview info states more than 40 TV channels available plus 20 radio channels. We recieve only 20 TV Channels and 10 radio channels.

We pay the full licence fee, but are only receiving half the service.

Christopher Hall: There are no plans to add the COM muxes to the Oakhampton transmitter, as the Mux owners do not consider it to be a worthwhile investment considering the small increase in extra viewers that would be achieved. You might be able to receive signals direct from Huntshaw Cross or Caradon Hill, using a suitable aerial, or alternatively, satellite reception offers a number of the missing channels such as ITV3/4, Film 4 and Sky News. With regard to the Licence Fee, you do receive all the BBC channels, which is all the licence fee pays for on Freeview.

I'm thinking of getting a freeview HD box to replace my freeview SD one, can anyone in Okehampton tell me if they get a good freeview HD signal? I'm down in the valley near the hospital.

Luke: HD are Public Service Broadcaster (PSB) services and are therefore available everywhere that Freeview is available. Their coverage isn't limited like the commercial channels such as Dave and Film4.
