Hi my mother in law moved house in February and we had trouble setting up freeview, so we subscribed to bt tv. I've changed the aerial and put a booster in the system but still get channels missing.
She lives in parbold lancashire the aerial wa pointed to the aerial in newbrough which is a light mast and found to be missing itv3 and other channels, if I point towards winter hill we gain itv3 but then lose the BBC channels,
Will newbrough aerial be upgraded to a full system
Thank you

David Barnett: Parbold transmitter serves only 1200 homes, there is no chance of it ever carrying the Full Freeview service.

David Barnett: Although that said by StevensOnln1 is perfectly correct, it would have been of assistance as far as assessing the situation is concerned if the post code of the location in question had been given. (one from nearby also suffice, e.g: shop inc post office)
Purely out of curiosity, when you tried pointing the aerial to Winter Hill, were the results obtained with the aerial having been turned to horizontal polarity for this transmitter? And on the subject of polarity, are many aerials in your mother in law's area seen to be set on horizontal polarity for reception from Winter Hill?
