Georgina Rees: This type of problem is frequently caused by either the dish having been moved (blown or knocked) out of alignment or alternatively by water having entered the boxes "F" connector where its connected into the dish.
Should the latter apply then this can be checked by swapping the boxes LNB1 & LNB2 inputs over, if though the situation remains the same then this is inclined to point to a possible dish alignment problem, as even although a "no signal" message may have appeared its not necessarily the case that nothing is being received, as signals under a certain level will trigger this message.
You should carry out a signal check using the following procedure:
Press "Services" on your Sky remote control and you will see the main menu with "Options" being highlighted.
2:- Select the "Settings" menu using the right arrow button and press select.
3:- Use the left / right arrows to scroll to "Signal" and press select, the grey bars displayed will show you the strength of the signal being received, if any! should though anything be indicated then the strength / quality levels of that seen have to be around 50% minimum to produce a picture, this especially so where the quality is concerned which should never be lower than the strength.
By the way error 25 (sometimes 29) and not receiving a signal means exactly the same thing.
Further info dependant on reply, although if all the aforementioned fails then you could try placing the box in standby for 30 secs or so before disconnecting it from the mains, this then followed by reconnecting it again after a further 30 seconds and going through the installation procedure.
In cases like this its always much easier to verify if the dish is OK or not by trying another box on the dish, if a standard box then try each of the two input leads one at a time.

Not receiving C47 HD services. Using a wideband aerial
replacement for rusted old group C/D. Vertical mounted on outside roof position.
No HD services for last 3 months.
Mynydd Pencarreg mast can be seen from my roof top. C41 & C44 quality 100. Signal strength 51 C41 & 41 C44.
C47 Quality and Signal both 0.

Glyn Hammond: Those signal strength readings look quite low, in general you should be aiming for somewhere in the range of 70% to 90% for reliable reception. C47 is very close to the 700MHz band which is now used for 4G/5G mobile services, so there could potentially be some interference if once of the mobile networks have deployed 700MHz nearby. It might be worth contacting Restore TV (the organisation setup and funded by the mobile networks to resolve 700 & 800MHz interference issues - see link below) who should send out a free plug-in filter if they believe you may be affected. It's also worth checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections which could be contributing to the reduced signal strength.

Glyn Hammond: Although you said that you can see the transmitter from roof height, you are 6km away and the transmitter output is only 24 watts. RestoreTV are not currently predicting any mobile interference at your postcode, although it's worth bearing in mind that this could potentially become an issue in the future. It may be necessary to fit an amplifier to overcome the low signal strength, which should be as close as possible to the aerial (i.e. a masthead amplifier mounted on the aerial pole or in the loft with as short a cable run as possible from the aerial) rather than behind the TV where it would only be able to amplify an already weak signal). It may be worth talking to a reputable local installer who is familiar with the area and can measure the signal strength at the aerial to see how much is being lost in the cable run to your TV.

Before you rush off to get an amplifier, what is the state of your coax?
How long ago was the aerial replaced? Was the coax replaced at the same time with quality double screened (eg.CT100 standard) coax?
If it's old coax and there's been any ingress of water at anytime, if the outer sheath has become brittle etc. this will all affect the signal at the set. Certain problems can cause "standing waves" in the coax which can be specific to one frequency, and maybe in your case affect C47. Other problems can just cause severe attenuation especially the higher frequencies.
Were you getting the HD multiplex before the aerial was replaced? If so, I'd be having a close look at the coax if it wasn't replaced. If it was, a thorough check of all the connections.
If you've never had the HD multiplex then may interference could be an issue. Check you haven't got any older equipment (eg.VCR's etc) with RF output operating below C47.
I take it you haven't got any splitters for providing signal to more than one device.
Even though a signal strength reading at the set of 51 for C44 seems low, I'm surprised that it's all 0 at C47.
Should it turn out to be a case of needing an amplifier, make sure it's one with a variable gain control. Too much signal can also cause problems, especially if there are any mobile masts nearby. I would be trying to get a filter from restoretv.uk in any event.
