Tony Rodwell: Brightstone only serves 800 homes so it wouldn't be viable for commercial broadcasters such as UKTV who operate Dave, Really, Yesterday etc to broadcast from transmitters with such small coverage.

Ian Morton: Resetting or retuning is the worst thing to do if you suddenly loose signal as all you are doing is deleting all of your correctly tuned channels and searching for them again, which will never fix a sudden loss of signal and often makes things worse as you will have no idea when the fault is fixed. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV and Manhattan box? I see there are some recent engineering notices for the Brighstone transmitter which you have posted under, this is unlikely to be planned engineering work over the Christmas period so it's possible that there may still be a transmitter fault.
