Hi,
Is there any chance that the Delph transmitter will get any more channels? It's very frustrating that we only get 3 multiplexes when people on the Saddleworth transmitter up the road can get all 7.
Thanks.

Matt: No, there is no chance whatsoever. The commercial operators declined the offer of frequencies as providing their services from this transmitter would be unprofitable.

From this transmitter we get strong signals on the main channels, including HD and red button but very rarely any signal on the "extra" channels such as Sky Arts, Dave , Really, Pick, Film4+1, 4 music. The tv picks up the channel ident but no picture or sound except on rare occasions when we will get the channel as clear as BBC or ITV.
The aerial has been checked and there have been trees cut down so we have clear line of sight of the transmitter which is about 3 miles away. The tvs have been retuned manually and automatically many times without result. I know this transmitter only sends out a limited number of channels but it is strange that we can't except on rare occasions receive those it does when the "main" channels are so clear. We can't get access to Wharmton's signals because we are below the hill.

Mr. W. Dean: The channels you mentioned are not broadcast from the Delph transmitter, so you must be picking them up as a weaker signal from another transmitter. As it sounds like something is receivable you may find that realigning your aerial to another transmitter may give you the channels you mentioned and more. If you provide a full postcode we can check what is predicted to be available and offer further advice.
